I am now going to try to start the slow process of catching up on my blogs since I was having computer issues for so long. I have jury duty this morning and finally have a few minutes of free time...
This past August, Rachel and I went on a very fun trip with Tim's mom and his Nana, Becky and Grant. We drove to Oceanside and hopped on the Coaster and took it to San Juan Capistrano.
The two little ones were so excited to go on a train and it was the first time for both.
They both have their own collections of Thomas trains and both love trains a lot.
Rachel got her own seat and Becky brought binoculars for both kids to take in the sights.

I brought books that Rachel and I read.

Becky and Grant played games and sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider".
Rachel loved that she had multiple laps that she could hop on.
Whenever Nana comes for a visit, Heather and her make a trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. I have been lucky enough to join them a few times.
As soon as we walked in the kids were mesmerized by the pond and weren't sure that they cared to see anything else.
"Whoa, did you see those fish?"
It is such a gorgeous place, there are so many places to take photos.
Rachel and Grant really liked this little guy, although Rachel kept calling him a frog!
These two are such good friends.
Rachel kept doing her "Crouch" nose thing in the pictures. I figured I had to post at least one of these. For those of you who don't know, the Crouch kids can plug their noses with their upper lip. We have met very few people who can do this as well. Go ahead and try it, betcha can't do it!
Which is cuter, the top or bottom picture here?
Yeah, I would probably have to agree with you!
By the end of the day, Little Miss Rachel was sporting quite the hairdo.

We went to Ruby's for lunch before heading back to the train. Rachel didn't eat much, but she sure like dipping her fingers in the ketchup and licking it off.
With Starbucks in hand and waiting for the train, these two wonderful women were having a good laugh!
A picture of all of us (kind of) on the ride home. We put the DVD player in between the kids and Grant pretty much watched it the whole way home, while Rachel spent the time climbing back and forth over the table.
Taking in the beautiful view on the ride home.
Grant had a little battle with a cactus while we were there and I think it won. Poor little guy. :(
We all had such a good time and can't wait for Nana to come back so we can do it again!
