Sorry for the Long Delay

My computer has been broken and I took it in over a month ago to get it fixed. I finally got it back, and it is still broken (which is where all of my pictures are). I really try to keep my blogs in chronological order, but decided it has been long enough. Until it gets fixed, I am going to do more of a "Quote of the Day" (but probably not every day) type of blog. Once my computer gets fixed, I will go back and do the picture blogs that I have waited on.

Now that Rachel is talking up a storm, she
cracks us up on a daily basis. I have 3 things I want to share from the past 2 days.

1) Yesterday when I was getting ready and doing my make-up, Rachel was taking a bath. What I heard from her was "One-two-one-two-one-two, it's practice. One-two-one-two, big arms." This got repeated over and over again. I looked over and this is what I saw. Ken was practicing her swimming lesson strokes and she was having his arms go back and forth. Rachel has been taking swimming lessons for over a year now and her instructor has really been working with Rachel on using her arms. She has obviously been listening and understands the concept.

2) On our DVR we have a few Care Bear movies t
aped as well as a couple of DVD's. They are one of her current favorites. I hadn't realized how much she loved them until last night. She has been playing with her belly button A LOT in the past few weeks. When she was playing with it last night, I asked her why she was playing with her belly button and she said, "No, not belly button Mama. Belly Badge." That is what the pictures on their bellies are called. Apparently she thinks she is a Care Bear and she has a belly badge. I have decided that is what she needs to be for Halloween...however the costumes are $40 online. I am on a mission to find one for a lot cheaper because I don't want to spend that kind of money on a 2 year olds costume.
Note her hand playing with her "belly badge" while playing at Chuck-E-Cheese.

3) Tonight I put Rachel in footsie pj's for the first time in many months. She was very unhappy with them. She just kept repeating "Feet stuck. Get it off!" I finally convinced her that they were like slippers. She found some ducky slippers that my mom got her when she was born and they finally fit her. She has been wearing them every night for the past 2 weeks and loves them. I don't know if I will be able to convince her again that footsie pj's are ok, but at least it worked for tonight.

Maybe Ken should come with us this week! The Care bear idea sounds perfect for her, we will be looking out for a costume for her. We always wondered what went through that head of hers when she was so clearly thinking and now we know. She sure has a sense of humor. xxH
