Rachel and I went to the Del Mar Fair the day after I got out of school with Tim's mom and his Aunt Lynn and Uncle Ben from New Zealand.
One of the first things we saw was this butter sculpture of a family.
Tim loves the Australian Battered Potatoes. I think that it is the only thing Australian that he likes. Rachel was kind enough to pose for a picture in the kangaroo.
We sat on the lawn to eat our potatoes. For the most part, Rachel would walk to the edge of the lawn and stop. It was nice because I only had to chase her once or twice.
She makes this goober face so much these days. If you look at this picture up close, you can see her nice little gap in her front teeth.

She was so tired. She fought it so hard, but eventually gave in.
We ate lunch next to one of the little stages. She kept running up to the old people sitting near the stage, smiling and then running away. They were all mesmerized by her. I think she made their day.
We went on the carousel right before we left. She loved it as usual.

We saw the animals at the very beginning, but Rachel was really tired and showed little interest in them. We saw them again on our way out and she was so fascinated with them. When I go to the fair again next week, I will make sure to go to see them when she is awake and happy.
